About Fairview Offshore Racing

Fairview is a 35ft skater imported from the USA with 525 horsepower mercruiser big block V8 engines producing over 1000 horsepower combined.

Fairview is owned by Warren Lewis and is located in Auckland, New Zealand.  Since it’s inception in 2001 Fairview has won 3 NZ1 Titles and has won the time record for Auckland Harbour Bridge to Great Barrier Island in 2009 being 1 Hr, 6 mins, 15 seconds as well as the Cook Strait title in 2012 (More information in the menu).  Fairview participates in 7 National Races per year.

Warren’s passion for boat racing begun when he co pilotted at the Tekapo Powerboat Club when he was 13 years of age in a 16ft Pride Panther with a 150hp on the back.  Since that time he took every opportunity to hop in a race boat.

Fairview’s co-pilot is John Shand who brings a wealth of knowledge to the team having raced in both New Zealand and Australia in his own boat.   Warren comments… “John is so easy to work with which makes boat racing effortless”.

Fairview’s team has 2 mechanics, Jonathan Martin and Aaron Wilson.  Mandy Wilson on Event Management and Media. Matt, Michelle, Brent, Kirsten and Jill help co-ordinate the team as well as assisting with the NZOPA when needed.
